Terms and conditions
For the prize draw for participants of the economic impact study of the Austrian meeting industry

1. Organizer of the Prize Draw

The organizer of the prize draw is the registered association Österreich Werbung/Austria Tourism, with its registered office at Vordere Zollamtsstraße 13, 1030 Vienna, Tel.: +43 1 58 866-0, Fax: +43 1 58 866-20, E-mail: anfrage@austria.info (“Organizer”).

The association Österreich Werbung, registered in the Austrian Register of Associations under ZVR number 075857630, is responsible for the organization, execution, and administration of the prize draw.

The cooperation partners involved in the implementation of the prize draw (see section 7 below, “Recipients”), who provide the prizes, shall not be considered organizers.

2. Eligibility

All natural persons who have completed the questionnaire for the economic impact study and have reached the age of 18 are eligible to participate.

Employees of the Organizer and affiliated companies are excluded from participation. Participation via prize draw associations or automated services is not permitted.

Participants have no legal entitlement to participate in the prize draw or to the execution of the prize draw. 

3. Prize Draw Period

The prize draw begins on January 01st, 2026 at 00:00 and ends on December 31th, 2026 at 23:59 (Central European Time – CET). All entries submitted outside this period will not be considered.

4. Participation in the Prize Draw

Participation is only possible by completing the online form. Participation via any other means is not permitted.
Providing the participant’s full first and last name and email address is mandatory in order to participate in the prize draw, so that the Organizer can allocate the prizes and notify the winners.

Each participant may only enter the prize draw once. Multiple entries by the same person or automated entries will result in exclusion from the prize draw.

Participants are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided, in particular their email address.
Participation in the prize draw is free of charge, voluntary, and independent of the purchase of goods or services.

5. Exclusion from Participation

The Organizer reserves the right to exclude individual participants from the prize draw if justified reasons exist, in particular in cases of manipulation, violation of these terms and conditions, unlawful conduct, or the provision of false or misleading information in connection with participation in the prize draw.

The Organizer also reserves the right to request proof of eligibility. If such proof is not provided within 14 days after being requested, the Organizer may exclude the person from participation.
In the event of a justified exclusion caused by the participant, any prize may subsequently be revoked and reclaimed.

6. Prizes and Winner Notification

a) Prizes

The following prizes can be won:

  • Burgenland vouchers in the amount of EUR 200,- provided by Burgenland Tourismus.

  • A weekend in Linz worth EUR 144,- provided by Linz Tourism.

  • 2 nights for 2 persons including breakfast in Schlosshotel Kitzbühel – THE SPA MOMENTUM provided by Schlosshotel Kitzbühel – THE SPA MOMENTUM.

  • A voucher in the amount of EUR 200,- to redeem at accommodation or culinary partners in Vorarlberg provided by Convention Partner Vorarlberg.

  • 2 nights stay including breakfast for 2 persons at Jaz in the City Vienna

  • Lower Austria: Two nights accommodation including half board at the 4-star superior hotel at the thermal spa resort Laa, part of the VAMED Vitality World.

  • Voucher for 1 night for 2 people in a deluxe double room including breakfast at the beautiful green Hotel & Kongresszentrum Styria in Graz.

  • Salzburg: City break for two in Salzburg for one night with breakfast at the FourSide Hotel Salzburg, Trademark Collection by Wyndham, a dinner in the historic Old Town, plus two 24-hour Salzburg Cards to explore sights, culture, and public transport.

  • Carinthia: A one-night stay for two people at voco®Villach – right in the heart of Carinthia.

The prizes are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Exchange is excluded.

b) Determination of Winners

The winners will be selected by random draw among all valid entries. The draw will take place after December 31st 2026.

c) Notification of Winners

The winners will be notified by email (using the email address provided). They must respond to the prize notification by email or telephone within 7 calendar days.

If no response is received from a winner within 7 calendar days after receipt of the notification, Österreich Werbung reserves the right to select a substitute winner.

7. Data Protection and Data Transfer

As part of the prize draw, personal data of participants will be processed as follows:

Controller

Österreich Werbung, Vordere Zollamtsstraße 13, A-1030 Vienna, Tel.: +43 1 58 866-0, Fax: +43 1 58 866-20, E-mail: anfrage@austria.info is the controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).

Purpose, Legal Basis, Data Categories, and Storage Period

For the purpose of conducting the prize draw, the Organizer processes the first and last name, email address, and country of the participants in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (“performance of a contract”).

The Organizer stores the aforementioned data until the complete execution of the prize draw. Beyond that, the data will only be stored insofar as this is necessary to comply with statutory retention obligations or to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Recipients

The above-mentioned data of the winners will be transmitted to the cooperation partners listed below so that the prizes won as part of this prize draw can be redeemed. The transfer of the winners’ data to the cooperation partners is necessary for the redemption of the prizes and thus for the performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

  • Salzburg Convention Bureau

  • Tirol Werbung GmbH

  • Bodensee-Vorarlberg Tourismus GmbH

  • Wiener Tourismusverband

Rights of Data Subjects

Participants have the following rights vis-à-vis the Organizer as controller under the GDPR: (i) right of access (Art. 15 GDPR); (ii) right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR); (iii) right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR); (iv) right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR); (v) right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR); (vi) right to object (Art. 21 GDPR); (vii) right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). In Austria, the competent authority is the Austrian Data Protection Authority (www.dsb.gv.at).

8. Disclaimer of Liability

Except in cases of personal injury, the Organizer shall only be liable for damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence. Österreich Werbung shall not be liable for any other damages, in particular those caused by slight negligence in the breach of obligations arising from these terms and conditions that affect participation in the prize draw or the drawing of winners. Österreich Werbung assumes no liability for technical failures or disruptions that prevent participation in the prize draw.
Upon handover of the prize, Österreich Werbung shall be released from all obligations under these terms and conditions.

Österreich Werbung shall not be liable for the insolvency of a cooperation partner or for any consequences arising therefrom for the execution and handling of the prize draw. In the case of travel prizes, Österreich Werbung shall not be liable for changes to the travel offer or cancellation of the trip by the tour operator. Cash payment of the travel value is excluded.

9. Amendments and Early Termination of the Prize Draw

The Organizer reserves the right to amend the framework conditions of the prize draw and to terminate it prematurely. However, such changes shall only affect participants who have not yet fulfilled the participation requirements at the time of the amendment or termination.

10. Applicable Law

These terms and conditions and any disputes arising therefrom shall be governed by Austrian law, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods of 11 April 1980 and excluding the conflict-of-law provisions of the Austrian Private International Law Act (IPRG). This choice of law shall not result in the consumer being deprived of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law that would otherwise be applicable in the absence of such a choice.
